The silver pools for eyes swept over the denizens of Stormwind, exploring each persons mind for the briefest of seconds before moving on to the next. She wasn't prying, nor was she delving. No. She was merely checking up on each travelers well being. A wave of whispers, of thoughts and errands were the usual thing with each small hop. With those she'd simply smile to herself, keeping the sweet, content look on her face, and possibly a silent blessing to the unaware transient before moving on. It was the other whispers that she would linger on. The ones that were a warning of someone needing help. A blessing from her rich red lips. Another jump. Another blessing.
She was as used to this daily routine as the city was to her. Elegantly poised on the western most pillar, one of four creating a cemented basin for the tree located in the trade district of the city. Where she chose the first day she took up residence in the capitol of humans. The reason was much the same then as it was now, to observe. But the times had changed so much, she was no longer just observing, but being watched as well. Eyes from the usual associates would look to confirm her pale-violet form was placed, almost as a display, near that tree. The passers-by that had visited the city on more than one occasion would glance over to see the deep purple haired Elf with those enveloping eyes, her lips whispering the prayers they could feel being bestowed upon them. And those that were new to the city, as she had be so many months ago, would often stop and stare, if their tasks weren't too demanding. Beholding the shade of twilight that Yllithia mimicked. Rich purples with kisses of red touching her features, like the night sky after the sun had set and the clouds still showing the warmth it had left. The warmth she held.
Another blessing, another smile. Another set of eyes on her tall form. Another jump into the open mind of yet another wandering through the crowd, and she paused to linger on this one. A grin grew on her face listening to her name on the thoughts. She knew this voice, she knew the words. Yllithia... She spun around, seeing nothing, a smirk on her lips. Shooting her hands out into what appeared thin air she hit her mark, grabbing the sides of the leather-clad Night Elf, grinding her fingers through his tunic, tickling him. Ylli giggled as he squirmed, shaking the shadows from his body, coming into view for the rest of the city. He was only slightly taller than Yllithia, but then again, Yllithia was slightly tall for a female. Navy blue hair pulled neatly back into a pony-tail. His glowing yellow eyes the only brightness, and even they seemed to be clouded, surrounded by his dark skin and features.
"You're getting too good at this." He smiled, running his hands down Yllithia's arms, taking hold of her retreating hands. His rough fingers brushing against her soft skin in one of the few caresses she'd allow him in public.
"Or, perhaps you're just getting careless." Another melodic giggle came from her. Pulling one hand free she tapped a finger on the Elf's nose, exchanging the joyous look from her silver eyes to his golden ones. And with that joy came the longing he'd been feeling all those hours away from her side. How he wanted to pull her close in an embrace, to kiss her as they'd done under the night sky away from peering eyes. To feel her warmth of body, and not just of heart. But another sweep of his thumb along the back of her hand, still held by his, was all he knew she'd allow him. It would be enough for now. To see her, to hear hear, and to touch more than another was allowed.
"Hrm." His usually statement before he'd expand upon the thought he wished to voice. Sometimes Ylli had to ask, but she just smiled and peered at him, waiting. "I'll have to watch out for you someday, won't I?" The flash of a smirk crossed his face. And again, Yllithia couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
"Yme, really, are you that afraid of a priestess of Elune?" Ylli grinned and leaned back as his look of contemplation crossed his face. Long ago the answer would have been easy for him. Back when they had first met and he was her protector. Back when she had silently called for him and out of the shadows he'd appear, waiting to fight off any manner of beast so her passage would be safe. Now she was an equal. He'd send a whisper on the wind and she'd keep him from death. She had more than mastered the arts of the light and darkness that the Goddess had to offer. And Yme wasn't one to push his luck. Several times they had compared skill and wits, and he had a feeling that she was toying with him in their matches. She really was a force to reckon with.
"As long as your hands aren't free..." Yme looked down at her one free hand.
Yllithia grinned. "If they weren't then I wouldn't be able to use them to do things like... this!" She shot her hand out and tickled Yme's side again. Another squirm came from the darkly clad rogue.
"Come on!" He pleaded, releasing a small chuckle. Ylli pulled her hand away and smiled brightly, staring at Yme. Things were different. Things had changed so much since he had proposed that they share a life. But he had always been there to begin with. Her mentor, her elder, and now, now he was her equal, her partner. Yme made another "Hrm" sound and glanced over Ylli's shoulder. She didn't look. She was sure of what she'd see.
"I know..." Yllithia said quietly as she squeezed Yme's hand and straightened out her robes. Her smile faded back to the lighter one mimicking sweetness as she turned back towards the busy streets to find a small group that had gathered around. Peering up with eager eyes at the priestess, and casting jealous glares at Yme.
Yllithia whispered her prayer she had learned to perfect long ago, adding a soft smile and a nod towards those she embedded with the life of her Goddess. Yme quietly slipped back into the shadow of the giant tree, propping a seat next to Ylli.
