What Makes you Tick? Featuring Kirria and Koehler

Kirria mused to herself looking over the paper she found next to her trainer. He'd mentioned it to her before bestowing her with his knowledge of the light, surely she could return her gratitude with a few questions. She shuffled through her bag easily finding the pen, not much else besides the necessities filled her sack these days.

"I'll have this for you in a moment." Kirria smiled and scooted to the wall, not noticing her mentor was paying her little mind but instead staring at something with a rather uncertain look upon his face. She gently sat down hunched over the paper, she read it carefully for the second time, again, slightly amused at the oddity of the questions. And here where they trained, as if they didn't know who they were taking in.

She sighed at the thought. She knew what type of people they taught.

Tapping her pen on the floor she began forming her thoughts.

01. Given that the Scarlet Crusade have paladins among them, does the use of the Light have any basis in moral authority?
The use of the Light in healing and as a weapon is directly related to the strength of your faith in the Light. That being said, your personal views would have no influence on your capabilities in harnessing the Light. As long as you stay to the tenants of the Light, you can use its powers for Good. It's only the view of what defines Good that changes.
02. The Knights of the Silver Hand was disbanded by Arthas for treason, and shortly thereafter Uther died. Both Ironforge and Stormwind claim to be the leaders of the Knights of the Silver Hand - but do they have the same authority?
They both serve the Light and the Alliance. As such, both are equal in my eyes.
03. Which authority has primacy - Ironforge or Stormwind?
This should be solely a personal choice. As I said before, both serve the Light, so why does it matter which one has a primary authority.
04. Should Paladins be allowed to drink?
The Light focuses on spreading happiness and well-being. Paladins should be allowed to drink. Drinking to excess can lead to unhappiness, both in the person drinking and the people around them. Drinking? Yes. Drinking lots? No.
05. Do paladins have a romantic life? And if not, should they be allowed one?
I see no reason to exclude love from the life of one devoted to spreading happiness and kindness.
06. Why did you choose the path within the Order that you did?
Have you met my brother? YOU try taking care of him without focusing mainly on healing. I have to worry that someday he's going to anger the wrong woman and end up with a dagger in his chest. So, yeah, healing...
07. Although they do not foster and train new paladins, what role within authority does the Argent Dawn have?
The Argent Dawn are in existence to purge the Scourge from Azeroth. As such they have authority over that area of influence. Their ranking within the Church should dictate individual authority.
08. Do you consider that there is a difference between the Scourge and the Forsaken? If so, why?
Yes. While neither chose their fate, the Scourge are mindless and under the control of Arthas. The Forsaken are cursed, yes, and many are evil. They have free will and thus can make the choice between good and evil.
09. Sword or mace - and why?
Either? I've never had a preference either way. I prefer to use a shield to better protect myself and others.
10. Are you a bastion of justice and virtue all the time, and if not, what do you enjoy doing on your downtime?
Justice and virtue are as much a part of me as my heart and soul. This does not mean that I go crusading on a daily basis, my purpose focuses on helping others, healing the sick, and protecting those that cannot protect themselves. If a situation arises that needs my attention, I will respond as it is my duty to do so.

Kirria looked over her answers and nodded to herself, satisfied. Carefully placing the pen back into her knapsack she slowly stood, stretching her legs and gathering the parchment. Folding it in half she turned to her mentor with a smile. The man was clutching the handle of his mace with a disapproving scowl, clearly worried about something. Kirria didn't even have to follow his gaze, she already knew what she'd find.

She sighed and looked over. Sure enough there was Koehler, and he wasn't alone, when was he ever alone? The young priestess Koehler was speaking with shifted uneasily, a blush on her face. Kirria rolled her eyes and walked up to the older paladin commanding his attention.

"Here you go. And don't worry about him." She nodded towards Koehler. "I'll handle him." The paladin nodded taking the paper. Then she added, "He's really like a big puppy, just looks menacing but nothing ill will come of it. The Light commands us after all."

Her mentor nodded again, a small smile forming. Kirria strolled off to what was sure to be another amusing commentary.

Koehler scratched under his chin with the back of his hand. A grin graced his face as he eyed the novice night Elf priestess. "-But really your holy being of Elune." Koehler finished and took up the flustered Elf's hand, bringing it to his lips with the gentlest of kisses. "You see?"

The Kaldorei blushed deeper, clearly startled by Koehlers advances, but not pulling away.

"Feel free to be blunt." Kirria interjected. With this Koehler's smile dropped into a half scowl. Kirria

The Elf blinked eyeing Kirria, people always got the wrong idea between the twins. Before she could protest Koehler flashed another winning smile, "Just my little sister, goddess. No need to believe such foul intentions from me." He lowered her delicate hand to her side. "You can pay her no mind."

"I'm sure she was thinking the same thing about you Koeh." At this Koehler raised a finger to the Elf in a signal asking for a moment, turning towards his sister he placed a fist on his hip, moving his other hand out as he spoke. Koehler was always a hand talker.

"We were having a lovely conversation actually. The beauty was commenting on how charming I am."

"I'm sure she was just saying that to save your feelings." Kirria looked over Koehlers shoulder, standing on her tip-toes to see around him. "You can run now, I have his attention."

Koehler sighed. "What do you want Kir? It's sure to be important as it always is."

Kirria sauntered over, holding out a folded piece of paper. "Of the utmost of course." Again she looked around Koehler, "Seriously, feel free, his back is still turned."

Noting the annoyance Kirria was showing at the Elf's presence the priestess nodded quietly, in a soft voice she conceded. "Lord Koehler, I shall speak to you again when next our lighted paths cross. Shining beacons aren't easy to miss." She smiled softly as Koehler turned back, quickly taking a kneeling position in front of her.

"Nor are such beacons easily forgotten. I look forward to seeing such radiance again."

The Elf was amused at his actions, for she giggled placing a hand on his forehead. "Elune bless you Koehler."

Koehler looked up beaming. "I need not Elune, you've blessed me for a lifetime."

With that the Elf bowed, blushing again. Koehler waited until she'd turned around the corner before rising again. With a sigh he refocused his attention on Kirria taking the paper. "What is it?"

"Oh, nothing terribly vexing. Just a survey." She grinned fishing the pen out of her bag. She knew Koehler wasn't wise enough to carry such an item with him at all times. If it had no use for more than seventy-five percent of the time he wanted nothing to do with it. Pens were such an item.

Koehler scowled reading over the paper. A self-righteous grinned crossed his features. "So they want to know what makes Koehler tick eh?"

He plucked the pen out of Kirria's hand and sauntered over to the nearest table, quickly scribbling down his answers. After only a few moments he tossed the pen on the table snatching up the paper and handing it back to Kirria with such pride. She raised her brows, a worried expression crossing her fare features. Reluctantly she took the paper reading over what Koehler believed to be genius.

01. Given that the Scarlet Crusade have paladins among them, does the use of the Light have any basis in moral authority?
Authority and morality are quite different. Holding the power to do what is right doesn't mean one will use it wisely. The Scarlet Crusade are clearly drunk with such a power. Once of honorable men, they've fallen to anger and despair. This is where they exercise their power, but lack moral. To learn of the Light you must be pure of heart, to continue to exercise the Light it must fill you, this is why those of the Crusade are weak and failing.
02. The Knights of the Silver Hand was disbanded by Arthas for treason, and shortly thereafter Uther died. Both Ironforge and Stormwind claim to be the leaders of the Knights of the Silver Hand - but do they have the same authority?
They will never fill the former glory of the Silver Hand. Stormwind is the current home of our king, thus here is where the Light resides. Those that are of other races, including Dwaves, are only blessed with such a gift because we allowed them to wield it. If not for us they would still be resorting to failing magics and explosions.
03. Which authority has primacy - Ironforge or Stormwind?
Stormwind of course.
04. Should Paladins be allowed to drink?
The question is, why shouldn't they? A drink from time to time can be all one needs to return to good spirits, especially in the company of those they show love towards.
05. Do paladins have a romantic life? And if not, should they be allowed one?
Ah, romance. Love of another. Of course paladins should be allowed to seek out that which strengthens the bonds of life. If there were no love, or romance as you put it, then we would have surely perished long ago.
06. Why did you choose the path within the Order that you did?
It is my duty to protect those I care about. With that I need the strength to smite those that wish to cause them harm. I summon the Light to give me such strength. I did not choose the path, the path chose me.
07. Although they do not foster and train new paladins, what role within authority does the Argent Dawn have?
The Argent Dawn is a respectable organization. Their cause is just. They're focus steady. Because of that we should garnish them with honor and an admiration to be in the foulest of lands. I shall take my orders as they are given, be it from the Dawn or from the church its self, it does not matter to a paladin of the Light.
08. Do you consider that there is a difference between the Scourge and the Forsaken? If so, why?
No. The forsaken are nothing more than more devious scourge and should be purified from our lands. They do not belong, this they know. And I shall show those that cannot see they are nothing more than abominations by decimating them to ash with the glory of the Light.
09. Sword or mace - and why?
It does not matter what a paladin wields in his hand. It's his heart that is the true weapon.
10. Are you a bastion of justice and virtue all the time, and if not, what do you enjoy doing on your downtime?
I spread the word and teachings of my father. Of the Order. Of the people of Stormwind. Even when I'm allowed time to kick up my feet my duties do not leave me. Justice isn't something you can check at the door like a coat. It's how you present yourself at all times.

Kirria looked over the paper again. "I knew I should have wrote yours for you. Thank the Light you didn't tell them what you really do in your downtime."

Koehler just smiled. "Not as if you'd know."
